Structural Steel Inspection Capabilities
AFCO NDE supplies the Knoxville and surrounding area with structural steel, decking, bolting and visual weld inspection. Our steel inspections are normally in accordance with AISC, RCSC high strength bolting requirements, FEMA codes or AWS D1.1:2010 structural building code as specified in job contracts. We also perform weld procedure writing and conduct testing for both procedure and performance qualification testing.
We are currently performing steel examinations at the following sites: TVA power plants, Alloy Fabrication, CMC Steel, Superior Steel Shop Fabrication, other surrounding metal fabrication shops, and other steel erection jobs being performed by Erection Specialist Corporation, Towe Iron Works, Complete Welding & Fabrication and Quality Machine Erectors requiring bolting and welding inspections.
AFCO NDE has extensive knowledge in structural steel inspection and maintain AWS certified weld inspection certificates. Our inspectors are also certified in Magnetic Particle and Ultrasonic Testing which are also common to Structural Steel erection.
